PERFORMER PROFILE
My name is Megan May Cameron and I am a professional dancer originally from Plymouth, England. I began my training at age 11 at The Royal Ballet School, where I studied for 5 years and performed alongside The Royal Ballet Company. I carried out a further 3 years of training at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary dance, where I received a BA Hons degree in Dance from the University of Kent.
Since finishing my degree, I have been fortunate enough to perform in the biggest Christmas show in Europe, Thursford Christmas Spectacular. From 2018-2020 I performed in the UK and international tours of Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake. Alongside my ensemble role of the Hungarian Princess, I performed the principal cover role of the queen many times. Recently, I performed in Dr Semmelweis at the Bristol Old Vic, written and starring Oscar Winner Mark Rylance. A play about 18th Century mothers suffering Childbed Fever.
Movement is my passion. I have always been a versatile performer as I am extremely enthusiastic about singing, acting and musical theatre as well as ballet and contemporary dance. I have also participated in various photoshoots and commercials; I enjoy exploring all avenues of the creative arts. I pride myself in being open minded, hardworking and imaginative. I love to convey emotions, thoughts and feelings through my own unique language of dance. I am most myself when I let my body move.
